Why 2020?

We can stop the sixth mass extinction if we protect approximately 50% of the 846 ecoregions that provide habitat for all of Earth's biodiversity. That means finding leaders and organizations around the world willing to align exisiting efforts around protecting and interconnecting nature in the region.

EarthX of Today

In April 2020, EarthX found itself in a unique position in a unique year, moving from a planned live event to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day to a comprehensive, virtual event. The door was opened and EarthxTV was born. Launched in September 2020, EarthxTV is the go-to platform featuring diverse environmental content through live stream and on demand original shows, conferences, films and more. The purpose is to inform, educate and create collaboration globally between citizens of the earth, corporations, other nonprofits and governments.
Our planet. From every side.
EarthX was founded in 2011 as Earth Day Dallas by environmentalist and businessman Trammell S. Crow. The organization convened the world’s largest environmental expo, conference, film festival. In 2019, the April event drew over 170,000 attendees, 2000 environmental leaders, 750+ exhibitors and over 400 speakers.
