In October 2020, world leaders gather for the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity in Kunming, China.They will set new spatial targets for the protection of Earth’s biosphere. Currently, these targets are 17% terrestrial and 10% marine. A traditional and contemporary scientific consensus concludes that humans need at least half of Earth to remain wild and intact.
We believe that nature has needs, and that people need nature. That’s why we are fighting for a respectful, just, and wild world enjoyed and protected by everyone on the planet.
Big problems require big solutions, even though coordinating across cultures and around the world can be difficult, especially when few people are aware of the problem or its solution.
